Description

Type F: DC Shunts

We manufacture all our DC shunts, Further, our products are available for current ratings from 5A to 15000A with mV drops of 50 – 150mV. Also, our shunts comprise manganin rods/wire soldered or silver brazed to Brass/ Copper Blocks. In addition, these shunts are artificially aged and tested for full load.

Application:

Our range of products finds various usage for measuring current in DC applications. This is achieved by connecting these shunts to moving coil panel meters, digital meters or other measuring devices. Further, our devices are used in applications of control devices like power supplies and Battery chargers or for over Load Protection.

Types:

Compact Brass Ended:

Owing to the small size of these shunts, these are often serves its purposes in special applications. Also, these are current rated from 5-50A with 25, 50, 60, 75, and 100mV output.

Standard Brass Ended:

We manufacture a range of these devices, which are heavy duty type, providing accurate DC mille Volt signal. These devices are best suited for applications in measuring instruments and circuits.Further, the ratings range from 5A- 15000A and 50- 300mV output.

Installation:

In order to dissipate maximum heat, shunts are mounted in the horizontal manner, with the blade standing vertical. Further, ample ventilation is provided by utilizing the full end block surface area. Also, by applying a thin coat of silicon grease over the contact surface area, bus bar is adequately rated. In addition, the usage of flat and tension washers under the nuts, tighten completely.
